Consider Kevlar Belts for Your Most Demanding Applications

High temperatures and abrasive environments prove to be the most challenging applications for conveyor belt manufacturers. Oftentimes, the temperature exceeds the limits of traditional urethane or rubber belting. Kevlar belts continue to fill a specialized niche in the industry.

Woven Kevlar belts are also available with a wire woven inside the carcass to reduce stretch and also dissipate heat onto the conveyor. Carbon fibers are another option that are designed for heat dissipation as well as adding anti-static properties to the belt.

Kevlar is rated up to 1,000° F and has a break strength of up to 4,000 pounds/in.
